The Gold Coast… for so long a favourite destination with the amazing ability to attract people of diverse interests. For some it's the home of exhilarating theme parks, for others it's the symbol of fun and youth, for yet another group it's designer labels and six star luxury. And at the heart of it is Surfers Paradise. Now there's change afoot.
An iconic building whose architectural brilliance will come to symbolise Surfers Paradise, Soul will dazzle not just for its style and residential opulence but also for its commercial importance. Soul is acknowledged by all as the centrepiece of a re-energised Gold Coast, fulfilling the dream of linking city to beach.
In 2010, Soul launched stage 1 of the spectacular $120 million retail complex. Retailers in flagship stores such as Ripley's, Rush, Rip Curl, Footlocker, KFC and Shakey's Milkshake Bar were joined in December by exciting new retailers Roxy, Hype DC, and Nine West. In 2011 Vapiano's will be joined by a stylish selection of restaurants and cafes featuring sweeping balconies where alfresco dining spills out onto the esplanade towards the sea.
As part of Juniper's commitment, the famous Esplanade will be upgraded along a 120-metre street frontage through to Cavill Mall, emerging as a pedestrian friendly precinct that seamlessly links with Soul's vast open public plaza and vibrant retail hub. Here beachgoers and town shoppers will mingle at the restaurants, cafes, bars and boutiques.
