Juniper has sold its commercial and retail stake in the Sebel Resort at Maroochydore for $10.6 million.

The property comprises the entire ground floor retail component in The Sebel Resort, comprising 14 shops and a three level commercial office building.

The total internal floor space is made up of 2887sq m, plus an extra 552sq m of balconies and Alfresco dining areas.

The landmark property is positioned on a high profile neck of Aerodrome Rd, midway between Maroochydore Beach and Alexandra Headland.

Juniper Development Group has sold the property to concentrate on other projects, from the Gold Coast to Port Douglas.

In purchasing the property, Trident Corporation Director Marcus Gaffney said the Sunshine Coast has a very limited supply of commercial office-style accommodation.

Mr Gaffney said he planned to roll out an intensive marketing campaign to fill the remaining vacancies.

``This building is a landmark property with a lot of potential for future growth,’’ Mr Gaffney said.

``Trident will take a hands on role to fill the vacancies as soon as possible.’’

The sale was coordinated by Jerry O’Reilly and Peter Tyson from Savills.

The leasing for the property will be conducted by Hayley Donnelly and Jason O’Meara from Savills.

The latest acquisition by Trident comes after a long line of recent purchases across Queensland.

Some of the recent properties purchased by Trident include the Bundall Corporate Centre and associated development sites for $106 million, an Ipswich office complex for $2.35 million, a Southport office complex for $7.6 million and the former Commonwealth Bank building at Townsville for $3.2 million.
